I am writing this review to let any and everyone know about my first time visiting this hotel and what a great experience I had. From the moment that I arrived, from the valet guy to check in was absolutely phenomenal. I was on a knee scooter and only able to bear weight on one foot. The room that I reserved was not an assessable one. When I checked in, I found out that it had a tub/shower combination. The room would not have worked because I wouldnt be able to get in it. Right away, Kayla began looking for the same room type but with a walk in/roll in shower. When she was unable to find one that was unoccupied, she sought Kens assistance. The process was taking some time and the hotel assistant (I didnt get his name, but hes an older gentleman who has been with the hotel for 18 years) waited so patiently to assist me to my room with the luggage cart. Ken asked if I wanted to use an assessable room instead? When I opted not to, Ken came up with a brilliant solution. He had a bath chair sent to my room. This would allow me to prop my leg up and shower while not putting any weight on it. I was so happy!! Kayla and Ken went above and beyond to make sure that my comfort was accommodated. I travel for work and I am away from home 3 weeks out of month, so I visit many hotels. By far, this is the first time Ive experienced such care and courtesy from hotel staff. Nowadays, customer service in many arenas is basically non existent, but not at this hotel!!! I cant say enough good things about it. The halls were quiet. The room was clean with an abundance of towels. The bed was comfortable. The shower pressure was excellent and the water was hot immediately. I will visit again!!!

Unfortunately our stay was disappointing. We thought Westin hotels were better than this. Two stained bath towels, a white powder on the bathroom floor, and dirty ice tongs. Had contact with two employees regarding this who assured me that the director of operations would contact me when he returned from his two week vacation, but still havent heard from him. Our stay was December 16, 2022, and it is now January 9, 2023. Other than that, the hotel is beautiful, the staff was very nice, and the location is great.

First off, the wife and I travel a bit being semi-retired and are huge fans of Westin hotels and would probably never leave them as customers. My beef is with this location only and I probably wouldn't be writing this review if it wasn't for the impersonal, canned response I received after writing the manager. This location does huge business with the attached convention center and in my opinion doesn't give a hoot about much else. Upon arrival after getting settled in I called and asked where the pool was, and was told that it required extensive repairs and wasn't open. I checked the hotels' website and nowhere was there any mention of the pool being closed. I had booked in advance 5 nights and now I have no pool. The restaurant was fine but the prices were more than the Italian Steakhouse across the street in another hotel. We leave the light on in the bathroom at night and crack the door so we can get up and see, but this sliding door was haunted because it would open mysteriously in the middle of the night. There were no grab bars in the shower. The toilet paper holder broke every time the roll was pulled. We literally begged for them to clean our room and if they couldn't why can't they at least bring up some towels? This is the most UN-Westin hotel I've had the displeasure to visit and will never step foot in there again. These people need to get back to the nuts-and-bolts of customer service because, with the advent of AI, convention centers will one day be a thing of the past. Do you honestly believe those conventioneers would stay at this hotel if they had to pay out of their own pockets? Edward and Lucy Alvarez Cedar Lake, IN

The hotel did not live up to its reputation and has degraded over the last few years. The room was an average hotel room, with a couch that looked like it was left over from the 1990s, even though the hotel was built in the early 2000s. The service was also just ok. We placed our room service request on the door at about 10:30 at night, and the request said to hang it out by midnight for breakfast. It was never checked, and we waited for room service that didn't come. We then decided to make coffee with the coffee maker in the room. Apparently, no one does that at this hotel. The coffee packets provided are for regular coffee pots, but the coffee maker is for individual-sized coffees, so the coffee did not fit in the maker and could not be used. Also, the coffee packs were so old they were expired and dusty. We paid for a higher-floor room but got one less than halfway up the hotel. The room didn't come with the amenities it said it would. You have to pay for internet in addition to the 350 dollar hotel room. It's just the little things that take away from the experience. For less money, you can have better rooms, with better views of downtown at other hotels. It's not a bad hotel. The location is great, and the beds and showers are good, but it is not a great experience.

Right downtown close to everything. Valet was super nice. Front desk staff were great. Had an issue with our digital key in the elevator and one of the cleaning people saw and helped out right away. Great rooms. We were in the 5th floor and there was a little draft from the window above our heads in the bed. Didn't really bother me though. One of our friends on the trip hurt their knee and the staff was quick to get us a wheelchair. So thankful to them.
